15 Feb IT Support Engineer Position

Company Overview :

The IT Customer Service Representative will be responsible for Contineo Cloud and Application incident management and troubleshooting.

You will get hands on experience with an early stage financial technology company and work with a dynamic team across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities/Knowledge :

Monitoring and troubleshooting:

  • Monitor the Contineo application, cloud and infrastructure and application using different monitoring tools such as Nagios/Centreon
  • Identify and troubleshoot incident following Contineo Incident Management
  • Determine the most effective and quickest way to solve technical issues
  • Create and follow tickets in collaboration with Contineo service providers
  • Escalate tickets and issue to the System and Network Engineer or the Product team when needed
  • Perform morning checks ensuring application stability and reliability before market hours

Client Facing:

  • Assist end user in every request/issue they would have using Contineo application
  • Log issue and request in Contineo ticketing system
  • Actively liaise with Contineo teams or service providers to efficiently propose a solution to end users


  • Constantly propose evolution and enhancements to Contineo Incident Management procedure
  • Maintain and enrich Contineo Incident and Request Knowledge Base with incident reports, workarounds and analysis on each incidents that occurred on the systems
  • Assist the System and Network Engineer in new process design or Centreon plugin deployment


  • Build and compute system reliability indicators in accordance with Head of IT needs and guidelines
  • Automate reporting and build monthly communications to users


Your Qualifications/Skills: 

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Min 2 years experience in an Infrastructure/Tech support position
  • Experience in installing troubleshooting and maintaining
    • Java distributed application
    • Unix/Linux environment
    • Virtualisation technology (VMware, OpenStack)
  • Experience in managing vendors (HW, Cloud)
  • Able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Custom to working outside normal business hours in order to perform duties
  • Application/Server/DB: Java Servlet, RESTful, JSON, XML, JMS, Tomcat, PostgresSQL
  • OS: Linux Ubuntu, CentOS
  • Network: good knowledge in LAN/WAN topology and maintenance


Location and Travel

This is a full-time position and is based  in  Hong Kong offices of the company.  Some travels (esp. to Singapore) may be part of the job.
